Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s mega-budget Telugu-Tamil bilingual period-drama “Baahubali”, that is in pre-production phase for up to per year now, is placed to be on floors
here July 6.Considerable time was spent training the film’s lead cast, offering Anushka Shetty, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, in sword-fighting and horseback riding during the last couple of months.
“After almost twelve months of extensive pre-production and planning, (I’m) pleased and excited to announce the start shooting of ‘Baahubali’ from July 6,” the film’s producer Shobu Yarlagadda posted on his Twitter page.
This can be Rajamouli’s first full-length digital film.”I shot not many shots with digital camera models in ‘Eega’ (and, therefore) ‘Baahubali’ will be my first fully digitally shot film,” posted Rajamouli on Twitter. Even though the film will be shot in Telugu and Tamil, it will likely be released in Hindi, Malayalam plus some languages too.
Rajamouli also clarified that the film just isn’t being produced in IMAX.”(I’m hearing) lots of rumours regarding ‘Baahubali’ being shot on IMAX cameras. No, we are not! We have been using Arri Alexa XT,” he added. The issues because of not using IMAX camera is cost and shortage of equipment. “(IMAX cameras) are very expensive. There are only six IMAX cameras that are manufactured and competition because of their booking,” said Rajamouli.
The film all means being manufactured by Prasad Devineni and K. Raghavendra Rao, while M.M. Keeravani will compose the songs.
