The trailer of Salman Khan's upcoming film "Kick" has hit a new high. Within 10 days of its release the trailer has garnered millions of views.
"Kick" is Salman's most awaited film after "Jai Ho," which failed to create buzz at the box office.
Even before its release, the trailer of the film has broken records on YouTube and has crossed 10.3 million views, since it was first uploaded over a week ago. The 10 million views is highest ever recorded for Salman's films released in the past three years.
The two minute-44 second video created fan frenzy on social networking sites, and has now gone viral.
Like "Jai Ho", the trailer of "Kick" was also released in the presence of his fans at Gaiety Galaxy cinema hall in Mumbai on 15 June. The trailer received overwhelming response from the audience upon its release, after which Salman took to Twitter to thank everyone for liking the trailer.
"Thank u , appreciate it . Glad u guys liked it," the "Dabangg" star tweeted.
In Decemeber, Salman launched the trailer of his previous film "Jai Ho", but it failed to create the buzz and garnered 1,013,203 views since the time it was released online.
The trailer of the superhit movie "Dabangg 2" crossed 4,591,647 views on YouTube in a year, while the trailer of the blockbuster hit movie "Ek Tha Tiger", which created several records, has crossed only 6,107,287 views till now.
Meanwhile, the makers have released the first song of the film "Jumme Ki Raat", which too has gone viral on social networking sites. Within four days of its release, the song has been viewed by more than 3.5 million times.
The trailer and the song of "Kick" has already created a buzz on social networking sites hinting that the film is going to break all records.
Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan feels that "Kick" will be the biggest hit in his brother's career. Even trade analysts believe that the film will set new records at the box office.
"Phenomenal response for the trailer of Salman Khan's #Kick. Will DEFINITELY set new records at the boxoffice!," film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh said.
"#Kick should hit 5 M online views mark on YouTube. This is unprecedented. As much credit to Sajid Nadiadwala as @BeingSalmanKhan for this," entertainment industry tracker Joginder Tuteja tweeted.
