Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Iddarammayilatho’ is all set for its theatrical release on the 31st. The movie has been directed by Puri Jagan and Bandla Ganesh is the producer. Allu Arjun’s previous film, ‘Julayi’,was a big hit so there are high expectation on this movie. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music. Let us see how ‘Iddarammayilatho’ is


Story :
Sanju Reddy (Allu Arjun) is the lead guitarist of a band (comprising of Srinivasa Reddy, Khayyum and two other women) which is based in Spain. Akanksha (Catherine Tresa) is the rich and pampered kid of a Union Minister ( Rao Ramesh ). She heads to Spain for her higher studies and moves into a lovely house. Here, she comes across a diary which has been left by the previous tenant. The diary belongs to Komali Sankarabharanam (Amala Paul) and it chronicles the warm love story between Komali and Sanju.

Akanksha instantly connects to the story and finds herself becoming very attached to the characters of Komali and Sanju. She comes across Sanju in real life and starts teasing him by passing off snippets from the diary as her own psychological predictions.

The story in the diary comes to an abrupt end and Akanksha confronts Sanju about the same. A tragic fact is then revealed by Sanju, a fact that shakes Akanksha to the core. She starts developing romantic feelings for Sanju and proposes to him. But the story takes yet another twist here.
What are the twists? Who is Sanju? Why did the story in the diary stop abruptly? To know that, watch ‘Iddarammayilatho’


Plus Points :
Allu Arjun is at his stylish best in the movie. His costumes are very nice and his overall look is quite sophisticated. His dance has a lot of grace.He has danced to medleys of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s hit songs and these bits will entertain fans. The movie has two nice action sequences and Allu Arjun has performed quite convincingly in those episodes.

Catherine Tresa looks drop dead gorgeous in this film. Her costumes and generous skin show will drive youngsters crazy. If she plays her cards right, she is here to stay as the next big female star. The romantic episodes involving Allu Arjun and Catherine have come out well. Amala Paul is ok in the role of a traditional Brahmin girl. She has given a convincing performance as a shy and timid girl.

The interval bang has been executed well and the story gains momentum here. ‘Run Run’, ‘Violin Song’ and ‘Top Lechipoddi’ have been shot nicely. The twist in the final stages of the film is nice and the story picks up good pace from that point onwards until the climax.

Minus Points :
The comedy episodes featuring Brahmanandam and Ali and are not very convincing. Brahmanandam will be seen as Phidel Brahma and Ali will be seen as a psychopath named Gudivada Krishna. Shawar Ali looks monotonous as an international Don. Subba Raju is wasted once again.

The pace of the movie is a little slow in the second half. The film picks up momentum only after the final twist is revealed. The placement of songs in the first half could have been better. Fans expect ‘special’ dance moves from Allu Arjun, but this film does not have any such steps.

Traditionally, a hero in a Puri Jagan film has an arrogant swagger about him. The character treatment will ensure a high entertainment quotient. But that is not the case with ‘Iddarammayilatho’. Heroism is sorely missing from Allu Arjun’s character in this movie.


Technical Aspects :
Locations in the film are quite nice. Amol Rathod’s cinematography is very good in a few scenes but it is surprisingly mediocre in some sequences. One gets the feeling that some of the visuals suffer from overexposure. Sekkhar’s editing is ok but a few scenes could have been trimmed in the second half. The bold one liners and punch dialogues that fans expect in a Puri Jagan film are very few in number. DSP’s background score is effective.
In terms of direction and character treatment, you will see a very different Puri Jagan in this movie. This Puri is more sober and mature. Is that a good thing for his fans? I am not very sure. Some people succeed most when they are bold and aggressive. Puri is one such guy.


Verdict :
‘Iddarammayilatho’ is a very stylish offering from Puri Jagan. Allu Arjun’s performance, Catherine’s glamour and the action sequences are assets for the film. Slow pace in the second half and the absence of traditional Puri Jagan elements like heroism and punch dialogues might hamper the overall experience.

Top director Rajamouli’s Baahubali is getting ready to go on floors shortly. The team has been working for quite sometime on the film. Some emails have been doing rounds regarding the casting of the film.

One of the producers of the movie Shobu Yarlagadda tweeted that these emails that have been rounds are not from Arka Mediaworks. These are fraud emails and the makers or the team have not invited anyone for auditions or are not conducting any auditions, he wrote.

Baahubali has Prabhas, Anushka and Rana in the lead roles. It is to be produced on Arka Media Works in three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. M M Keeravani is providing the music while Senthil handles the camera.

Lakshmi Manchu escapes death

Actress Lakshmi Manchu had a scary experience today. Apparently, she was on a canoe with another actor and was rowing on Kerala’s famous Alappuzha backwaters when the canoe flipped and she was thrown overboard.

Lakshmi says that she had to swim for more than a kilometre to get to safety. A fishing boat finally came to her rescue. Lakshmi narrated this incident through her twitter account.
” Was on a canoe ride at the Alappuzha lake and our canoe flipped over and we were thrown off. We couldn’t get on the boat. Had to swim more than a kilometre.

In the mean while,Bunny’s enemies always keep on trying to kill him as a matter of Revenge.Unfortunately,They kill Amala in a fight sequence.Then Bunny realizes his real fault and dedicates himself completely to the Rock Band,which he creates on Amala’s name.Then comes the 2nd Heroine in to the picture.Catherine observes Bunny @ a song and gets impress with his talent & joins Bunny’s Rock Band.As expected,Bunny 2nd innings of LOVE starts with catherine.

But the bad fate,follows them.In a tragic incident,even catherine also dies.Then Bunny goes mad and gets himself back in to the Mafia Mode.He starts killing everybody who is responsible for the murder of Amala & Catherine.Then the story comes to an end after this killing spree.

Amy Jackson back to Yevadu sets

Amy Jackson is set to join back the sets of Yevadu. It is known that Amy Jackson has been roped in as one of the leading ladies of Ram Charan’s Yevadu and she has already shot for few portions of the film in Vizag, Hyderabad.

Now, a new schedule will commence from May 29 in Hyderabad and Amy will partake in the shoot along with Ram Charan, Shruti Haasan. With this schedule, the entire Yevadu shooting gets completed by June 20 and the post-production works will simultaneously begin.

Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal are making special appearances in the action thriller, directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Yevadu is gearing up for a release in the mid July.

Attarintiki Daredi First Look to be out soon

The latest buzz about Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram film is that the first look and the title of the film will be out in a couple of days. The team has finished shooting a major portion of the film (current schedule has come to an end on May 28th in Hyd) and the unit will move to Spain on 5th June for another marathon schedule. Before leaving to Spain the title and the first look of will be unveiled.

Three songs of the film will be shot along with talkie part of the film in the foreign land. There will also be a big action sequence to be shot there. 25 lakh set ‘Yemito Ee Maaya’ song

A set worth Rs.25 lakh was recently erected for director Cheran’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual directorial Yemito Ee Maaya being released as JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai in latter version for a special song, which focuses on dating through Facebook. Yemito Ee Maaya casts Sharwanand, Nithya Menon in the lead roles.

“We had to recreate a set that would look like the inside of Facebook. That approximately costed us Rs.25 lakhs. The song focuses on how youngsters of today use Facebook to date and socially interact with each other,” a source from the film’s unit told Media.

“The song ‘Hey Facebook was shot on Sharvanand, who plays the lead in the film. Two models were exclusively brought from Mumbai to feature in the video,” the source added.

The film also features Sneha, Nithya Menon, Santhanam, Prakash Raj, Jayaprakash and Sangeeta Gopal. It has music by G.V. Prakash and is produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore under Sravanthi Movies banner.

Prabhas Bahubali: In the recent past, no movie has taken such a long time to complete the script work and pre production work, as it is done in the case of SS Rajamouli’s ‘baahubali’. Thus the movie created a lengthy pre production work record.

MAHESH-SUKUMAR’S MOVIE: Perhaps director Sukumar has taken an inspiration from a snail, as he is dragging the regular shoot of the movie at his best. Gossip mongers also say that the director went on some re-shoots for the project. Thus the movie sets a new record during its production stage in the recent past.

 

Ram Charan ZANJEER: Though the pre production and production went on in a cool pace, ‘Zanjeer’ is suffering with its post production stage. Although the movie’s shoot has been wrapped up, due to the financial issues of the makers with their brothers, the movie’s release is getting delayed.
