Action 3D releasing in May

Allari Naresh’s film Action 3D is gearing up for a release in the month of May. The shooting schedules have been completed and the post-production works are progressing at a brisk pace.
The multistarrer movie casts Allari Naresh, ‘Kick’ Shyam, Vaibhav, Raju Sundaram in the lead roles and Neelam Upadhyay, Sneha Ullal, Kamna Jethmanalani are the heroines. Anil Sunkara is wielding the megaphone for the movie and it’s said to be India’s first 3D comedy film.
Action 3D is the highest budget movie in Allari Naesh’s career. Besides donning the director cap, Anil Sunkara is also producing the movie. Bappi Lahiri is roped in as the music composer and the audio has been launched recently.

Iddarammayilatho Movie Release Date

The much-awaited film, Allu arjun starrer Iddarammayilatho will come to theatres this May end (either 23rd or 24th May). Earlier the makers had announced that the film will release on May 10. The music release of the film has also been postponed.
Previously it was announced that the music would be out on 21st April. Reasons for the postponement are not known yet. Iddarammayilatho stars Allu Arjun in the lead, with Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa as his two leading women. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the trailer of this film, which was released recenty, has become quite popular. Bandla Ganesh has produced the film and music is scored by DSP.

After the debacle of Khaleja, Mahesh Babu had increased the pace and had been delivering the movies quickly. But looks like director Sukumar is applying brakes for the pace. The shooting of their untitled movie is going on at very slow pace. The director is insisting on too many takes and there are many gaps between the movie schedules.

Nathalia Kaur who sparkled in few item numbers had missed a chance to turn in to a full fledged heroine. She was reportedly selected for a role in Manchu Manoj’s Potugadu. On the first day of the shoot, she was asked to don a bikini for a scene for which the actress declined and walked out.

Navdeep sneha ullal film antha nee maayalone

Navdeep-Sneha Ullal starrer Telugu romantic-drama “Antha Nee Maayalone” went on the floors here Monday. The team will shoot one of the songs in the film.
“‘Antha Ne Maayalone’ Day 1. Ready to go and excited to feel the magic again,” Sneha posted on her Twitter page.
The film is directed by debutant P.V Krishna and also features Rajendra Prasad and Poonam Kaur in important roles. It is produced by Suryadevara Vinod.
Sneha, known for her making her Bollywoood debut opposite Salman Khan in “Lucky”, has featured in cameos and second heroine roles in Telugu films. This is the first time she is playing the lead.
“‘Antha Nee Maayalone’. Solo hero and heroine, finally. Time to shine. Amen,” Sneha had posted on Twitter when she had signed the film.

Director Sekhar Kammula has been roped in as the director for the Telugu-Tamil remake of Kahaani and actress Nayanatara has stepped into the shoes of Vidya Balan for the lead role.

Ram Charan – Koratala movie in May

Going by the grapevine, Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s next to be directed by Mirchi fame Koratala Siva will have its formal muhurath in next month. This movie will be produced by Bandla Ganesh under Parameswara Arts banner. Ganesh is currently producing Iddarammayilatho with Allu Arjun. Koratala Siva had completed the script work of the movie.
Koratala’s maiden venture Mirchi went on to become the biggest hit in Prabhas’ career. Charan is reportedly impressed with the working style of Koratala and had given nod to him.

Balayya Ruler controversy over title

So far, media is reporting that Balakrishna’s next film is tentatively titled as ‘Ruler’ and it is to be directed by Boyapati Sreenu. However, a controversy erupts about the title as it was registered by KS Rama rao, the producer of film Dammu. Since he had a strained relations with Boyapati Sreenu after the failure of their film ‘Dammu’ it is doubtful whether he would like to offer his registered film title to Sreenu or not, come he may be using it for Balakrishna’s film.
According inputs, he is planning to make a film with Ram Charan Tej with the same title, but so far he has not made any move in that direction. Boyapati is gearing-up to start Ruler with Balakrishna under 14 Reels Entertainment banner very soon. If, the producer Rama rao refuse to transfer the title to Balakrishna’s film, then it may even spoil his relations with Balakrishna also. However, Boyapati has 2-3 other titles under consideration and may choose either of it, if Rama rao refuses offer Ruler title to his film.

Dasari Narayana Rao to direct five Telugu films

Veteran Telugu filmmaker and politician Dasari Narayana Rao Saturday announced he will wield the megaphone for five Telugu films, including one titled ‘Vaddi Kaasula Vaadu’, in which he will also act.
“My 151st film titled ‘Vaddi Kaasula Vaadu’ will go on floors May 4 coinciding with my birthday. I will also direct four other Telugu films over the course of next few months. Three out of the five films will be produced under my home banner,” Dasari said at an event here.
“I will also play the lead role in ‘Vaddi Kaasula Vaadu’, a political satire. The story of the film revolves around a peon who works in the chief minister’s office,” he added.
Dasari holds a Guinness Record for directing 150 films. Some of his best films include ‘Meghasandesam’, ‘Kante Kuthurne Kanu’ and ‘Tata Manavadu’.
He has directed few Hindi films such as ‘Swarg Narak’, ‘Jyoti Bane Jwala’ and ‘Pyaasa Sawan’. His 150th film titled ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ with Nandamuri Balakrishna was a disaster at the box-office.

Tamil director Kalanjiyam’s latest revelation came as shock to the admirers of Anjali who is surrounded by several controversies in the recent past.
The filmmaker accuses the actress of diverting the attention of people to tie knot with a producer, during the period she went missing. “Anjali claimed she disappeared for few days to escape from the harassment of her aunt Bharathi Devi and Me. But, I came to know that she went hiding only to tie knot with a top Telugu producer. She need to come out and clarify this matter,” revealed the director.

Rudrama Devi regular shoot begins

With Anushka in the title role, the forthcoming big-budget historical film Rudrama Devi in the direction of Gunasekhar has commenced the shooting schedules from April 27 today.

The shoot is taking place in a huge arena set in Hyderabad replicating the famous Waranagal fort since the story is set in Kakatiya dynasty Pivotal scenes involving Anushka are being shot in the present schedule shoot. Rana will be seen in the role of Chalakya Veerabadrudu while Prakash Raj as Siva Devayya and Beba Sehgal as Nagadevudu. With back-to-back films releases like Gundello Godari, Chashme buddoor, Shadow, Tapsee has been quite busy from a while. But the actress seems to be not taking a break. The Delhi beauty has joined back the shoot of Muni 3.

Proud to be part of 'Kalicharan': Chandini

Southern actress Chandini Tamilarasan, who is making her Telugu debut with upcoming action-drama "Kalicharan", is proud to be associated with the project. She says she is happy to have bagged such an important role early on in her career.

Set in the 1980s, "Kalicharan" is based on true incidents revolving around the life of late MLA Erra Satyam.

"It's a realistic film and I play a role sans glamour. I'm proud to be part of this project because it's one of those roles very few actresses have attempted before and I'm extremely happy about it," Chandini said.

"I can do glamorous roles any day in my career, but these roles don't come often. I didn't want to miss the opportunity because this was the ticket to prove my acting prowess," she added.

She admits bits of the movie are fictionalised.

"A part of the story is based on true events, but the entire love portion is fictionalised for commercial purposes. The love track in the film is so poetic that it will make people think about my portion over and over again," she said.

She is paired opposite Chaitanya Krishna in the film, which is directed and produced by Sri Prawin. It also features Pankaj Kesari, Kavitha Srinivasan, Nagineedu and Rao Ramesh in important roles.

Chandini found shooting outdoors very challenging.

"We shot most of the film in places which were reminiscent of the 1980s. We used to travel for long hours every day and shoot outdoors mostly. At times, one shot would be canned for the entire day because Prawin wouldn't compromise on the quality," said Chandini, who also researched to prepare for her role.

"There wasn't much of research required for my role but, I did basic research on the looks of women in that era. It helped me to understand few important things that I could incorporate in my role," she added.

She clarifies the film is not violent, but realistic.

"It's a realistic film with all commercial ingredients. It's one of those visually engrossing films, but not as violent as it's shown in the trailer. The trailer was purposefully made so violent to attract attention and create hullaballoo around the film," she said.

Chandini's Tamil film "Naan Rajavaga Pogiren" released Friday. She is currently going through a few scripts and is likely to sign the dotted line soon.

Actor Gopichand to marry Reshma

Telugu actor Tottempudi Gopichand will marry Reshma, niece of popular Telugu actor Meka Srikanth on May 12.

"Wedding invitations have already been dispatched to everybody in the industry. It will be a star-studded wedding ceremony which will take place at N-Convention Centre. He (Gopichand) is expected to complete all pending work by month (April) end," a family member of the actor said.

In 2012, Gopichand was engaged to Haritha, but the wedding was called off at the last minute due to undisclosed reasons.

Known for playing negative roles in Telugu films such as "Jayam", "Nijam" and "Varsham" early on his career, Gopichand found stardom as hero in Telugu films with romantic-action "Yagnam".

Meher Ramesh’s direction is getting negative response. The film’s story is based on revenge drama but the film lacks emotional depth in several scenes and they weren’t effective. A couple of twists are good but the screenplay isn’t gripping and lacked freshness.

Despite the very good casting like Venkatesh, Srikanth, Tapsee, Naga Babu, MS Narayana, director Meher Ramesh failed in handling the big-budget film.
