Lakshmi Manchu, who has graduated from Okalahoma City University’s School of Theatre will be honored for her excellent work in the arts on the School of Theatre’s 90th Anniversary. The inaugural Hall of Honor ceremony will take place at 6 P.M. on Friday in the atrium of OCU’s Bass School of Music, 2301 N Blackwender.
Lakshmi Manchu is one among the five graduates who got selected. The actress cum producer holds a degree in theater from OCU and continued her studies at USC for film production. Lakshmi Manchu started off her film career in the US and later joined Tollywood after returning back to India.
She runs a production company ‘Manchu Entertainments’ besides ‘Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures’ banner which her father established and produced 49 film. Later she turned actor and featured in several Telugu films too. She also won the prestigious Nandi award for her critical acclaimed role in negative shade in ‘Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu’. Manchu has guest starred in many television series including the persisting role of Sarasvati Kumar on NBC drama ‘Las Vegas’, ‘Desperate Housewives’ and ‘Boston Legal’.Congrats Lakshmi Manchu, for your greatest feat.
