Nitin’s Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde which was released on 19 April along with 6 other small films went onto become a big hit due to good content and positive mouth talk. Nitin who had a series of several flops bounced back with Ishq by producing it on his home banner. Made with a budget of 8 and half crores, Ishq has collected theatrical revenue of 12.4 crores. The satellite rights for the film were sold to 2.6 crores to a third party before release. That third party has resold the satellite rights for 4 crores to a TV channel. The total share of Ishq is 15 crores (12.4 theatrical and 2.6 satellite).
Nitin’s Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde is a perfect follow up for Ishq. The Ishq brand value and GJG entertainment value have helped it immensely. GJG is made on the budget of 11 crores (including the remuneration of Nitin). It has collected a theatrical share of 11.26 crores till yesterday (29 April). The satellite rights of GJG were picked up by Gemini for 3.4 crores prior to release. If you include satellite rights, the share is going to be 14.66 crores.
Here is the break-up of the theatrical share
S No—Territory———————–Share (in crores for 11 days)
1——— Nizam————————————–4.88
2———Ceded————————————–1.32

With the way GJG is going at box office, it will easily cross 20 crores share. This will be the first film of Nitin to join the 20 crores club. If things are greener in the coming weeks, GJG is likely to collect more than 25 crores.
