Puri Jagannath supports Ram Gopal Varma

His recent debacles have proved that he lost that magic with pen. But he is also trying to prove that he lost his judgemental abilities too. In the name of ‘guru bhakti’, director Puri Jagan is now endorsing some silly comments.

‘Directors who don’t experiment will have hundred percent success rates. But I experiment all the time, and that is why so many flops’, said Ram Gopal Varma, during the unveiling of Satya-2 music. For Varma’s fans it may look like an inspirational quote, but for cinema lovers it looks quite foolish and silly. But director Puri Jagan is the first one to endorse this comment saying Ram Gopal Varma is legend for that comment. How is he Puri?

Let us take directors like Rajamouli, Sukumar and Sreenu Vaitla. Could we now say they are not doing any experiments in their movies? Blockbuster hits given by these makers speak volumes about their entertaining ways of storytelling. A filmmaker’s experiments should entertain audiences but not test their patience with weird camera angles and soul-less stories.

Ramu may say people like Rajamouli got high success-rate as they are not experimenting. But how directors like Puri will approve it too? That’s disgusting!
