Rajamouli says NO to Anushka in MahaBali

Heroine Anushka has been part of the Tollywood circuit since quite a while and it must be said that she has been a trendsetter of sorts for the other starlets. At the same time, Anushka also commands a good degree of respect from the industry folks owing to the way she carries herself and her humble nature.

However, it looks like one dream of Anushka remains unfulfilled and another attempt of hers got thwarted by director S S Rajamouli. Apparently, sources say Anushka’s target is to bag the national award.

But the rule for that is the actor must do self dubbing for her roles. It is heard that Anushka was keen to dub for her own voice in ‘Bahubali/Mahabali’.

But talk is that Rajamouli said no as he felt one should not experiment with big budget movies. With this it is clear that Anushka does not qualify for the national award even if she gives an exceptional performance. Generally such movies have scope of bagging awards. So now, her only option is Gunasekhar’s ‘Rudramadevi’. Buzz is that it has not reached to that point of discussion. We have to see whether Gunasekhar will give Anushka the chance to dub for ‘Rudramadevi’ or not.
