Running the movie either for 50 days or for 100 days is an issue of prestige and stamina for heroes and their fans. Big star heroes are heard forcing distributors to run movie for 100 days earlier. But now all such things are not happening due to tight market and competition.
Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s Sankranthi offering ‘Naayak’ has opened to good crowds in the initial days but is not having enough stamina to run for 100 days it appears. Earlier the movie completed 50 days in 55 centres and will be completing 100 days by 18th April.
But our hero and the producers have thrown up a last minute shock to fans by deciding not to run the movie till that date. With many big releases ready to hit screens in summer after ‘Baadshah’, makers of ‘Naayak’ are giving way to others but by disappointing mega fans. Charan-Vinayak’s movie is not being screened at any direct single centre.
Insiders say that Charan asked distributors not to worry for records as they yield nothing for them. As he is coming up to hit screens with Yevadu and Thoofan very soon, maybe he might have thought to satisfy Mega fans that way. However, makers might release the movie in some theatres on that 100th day to satisfy fans.
